Applied behavior analysis in the workplace can be used to improve employee performance in 24-hour residential group home service settings. The Performance Diagnostic Checklist-Human Services (PDC-HS) is just one tool that has been developed to support supervisors to identify employee performance strengths, weaknesses, and problems, as well as to detect interventions that are effective in human service settings. The purpose of this study was to us the PDC-HS with supervisors and employees in a novel location, such as a 24-hour residential service setting, to evaluate if the PDC-HS is able to identify workplace strengths, weaknesses, and employee problems in these settings, and to evaluate if any adjustments need to be made to the PDC-HS that are more specific to residential settings. The PDC-HS will be evaluated by requiring supervisors to complete the PDC-HS to identity effective interventions to address Direct Support Professionals’ (DSP) performance problems on not signing the Medication Administration Record (MAR) when administering medications.
