The purpose of the Automated Off-Grid Irrigation System is to improve the water and food resiliency of a residential home, and the efficiency in crop watering techniques. The Automated Off-Grid Irrigation System will consist of three subsystems and their supporting elements. Those subsystems are the microgrid, control, and irrigation subsystem. The purpose of the microgrid is to power the Automated Off-Grid Irrigation System. The control subsystem will use a PLC to monitor the soil moisture, activating/deactivating the solenoid valves, and transfer pump.
