We are creating a test platform for wireless power transfer for the purpose of electric vehicle charging systems. Our project aims to create an open source system that can be customized and modified so that future Oregon Tech students can experiment with the test platform for the purposes of research and development. The set up includes a microcontroller, a gate driver circuit, a full-bridge inverter using power MOSFETs, two litz wire inducting coils, and a simple converter to obtain a DC voltage for charging batteries. The microcontroller allows for the user to adjust the frequency and duty cycle of the four PWM signals to experiment with different set ups.
