The Dog Doorbell is a pet training tool capable of sending email, text, audio, and visual notifications to the pet owner. The intended audience for this device is pet owners looking for a potty-training tool that enables pet-to-owner communications. Additionally, the doorbell is equipped with a rechargeable battery providing the user with several days of wireless functionality of their device for use when traveling. The motivation for this project comes from owning a puppy in a townhome that has three floors and no yard. Due to the configuration of my home, I was often left unaware that my dog needed to be let outside to use the restroom. I needed a solution that notified me wherever I was in the home and current items on the market today are limited in their capabilities. Today, my dog is trained to interact with the doorbell when he needs to go outside, and I will be notified within seconds.
