The Energy Technology Training Conference was sponsored by the U.S. Energy Research and Development Administration (ERDA) and the American Association of Community and Junior Colleges (AACJ) in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 27-2,9, 1976. A total of 192 Conference participants gathered to discuss and attempt to resolve issues surrounding energy-related occupational training *grams which were in planning stages or being conducted by colleges.' Attendees were selected and invited to participate based on their prior experiences or interests in energy-related technician education. Colleges from 41 states sent a total of 111 representatives. In addition, there were 33 attendees from industry and professional associations, 9 representatives from state higher education organizations, 6 University attendees, 3 representatives from organized labor, and 30 representatives from 9 Federal agencies with human resource development mandates
