The newest building on the Oregon Institute of Technology campus is Purvine Hall. The Portland engineering firm of Carson, Bekooy, Gulick and Associates, Inc., designed this building to use geothermal water for space and domestic hot water heating. Purvine Hall's system is unique because it utilized low temperature (130°F) geothermal waste water from other campus buildings
