A Technical Assistance Training Session was held June 15-18, 1981, at the Oregon Institute of Technology campus. Accepted subcontractors, under the Technical Assistance program, state commercialization teams, and other interested parties were among the participants. Sessions included both lectures and problem-solving. Geo-Heat Center staff spoke on geothermal resources (John Lund); geothermal district heating and process heat applications (Paul Lienau); heat exchangers and wells (Gene Culver); well pumps, heat pumps, and piping (Gene Ryan); space heating system design (Kevin Rafferty); and life cycle cost analysis for direct-use geothermal systems (Charles Higbee)
