The development at the Geysers is a pioneering effort on the utilization of geothermal resources. As such it has been extolled, scrutinized, cursed, reviewed, questioned, and much information and misinformation published on its environmental effects. It has been and is PGandE's goal to develop or assist in the development of scientifically based data upon which rational environmental Assessments can be made. One often hears that few studies are being conducted in the Geysers Area. The individuals on this panel represent the broad range of PGandE studies involving environmental effects that are presently ongoing. These studies encompass air, water, noise, vegetation, fish and wildlife. With the time allotted to us we can only provide you with a broad review and a few highlights.
