Seven Klamath public schools are using geothermal hot water wells to heat their plants in addition to OIT. The school systems are not concerned about the interruptible source of natural gas from Canada or the dwindling supply and increasing cost of fuel oil. They are using a clean, dependable and economical source of energy, that allows monies normally spent for fossil fuel to be funneled into their educational programs
