The first phase of an experiment using geothermal water from a moderate temperature geothermal resource for irrigation has been deemed a success, possibly opening the way to more uses of this widespread resource. The activity was completed by the Energy Research and Development Administration at Idaho National Engineering Laboratory at a location adjacent to ERDA IS Raft River Geothermal Project in Southern Idaho
