Funding for the establishment for a Geo-Heat Utilization Center at Oregon Institute of Technology was approved by the Pacific Northwest Regional Commission of Vancouver, Washington. The Commission is an arm of the Executive Department of the Governors of the states of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. The Commission approved the funding of $3000 initially for materials to disseminate information to participants of the International Geothermal Energy Conference for Agricultural, Industrial, and Commercial-Residential Uses held in October of 1974 at Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls.
