There is considerable interest in the Western United States in electrical power generation from low-temperature geothermal water. The method of extracting energy is the organic Rankine cycle, and the water is usually 121 C (250 F) or cooler. Previous papers by the author have pointed out where the losses occur that reduce the net power available for sales. The importance of careful development and analysis of the overall power generation concept was emphasized. The following is a discussion of a computer program that has been developed to assist in analysis of the power generation scheme
