Volume I of Creating Energy Choices for the Future introduced a proposed National Plan for energy Research, Development and Demonstration covering programs now underway and supported by the Federal Government, and others which will be considered in the future for Federal support. Volume II is limited to activities supported in whole or part by the Federal Government. It does not cover energy R&D underway in industry or elsewhere unless Federal funds are involved. Together these volumes comprise the first ERDA effort to collect the Federal Government's diverse R,D&D energy programs into one tentative plan. As the initial plan in a projected series to be periodically updated, these volumes respond to legislative requirements for the Energy Research and Development Administration (ERDA) to promote Development of a plan that helps coordinate and integrate energy Research, Development and Demonstration programs to meet national needs
