The Internet contains a wealth of useful information about financial incentives available to firms and organizations engaged in various aspects of renewable energy and/or energy efficiency. Unfortunately, this information is scattered among numerous web sites describing incentives available at the federal, state, and local levels. This guide has been prepared by 3E Strategies (www.3estrategies.org) as part of its BASE project and represents a first draft, current as of November 1, 2005; its purpose is to serve as a guide through the maze of available web sites. While focused on financial incentives (defined as grants, loans, tax credits, and tax deductions) for sustainable energy firms doing business in the 9-county Central Oregon corridor (Wasco, Sherman, Gilliam, Jefferson, Wheeler, Deschutes, Crook, Klamath, and Lake), many of the financial incentives described are available to firms doing business elsewhere in Oregon, so this guide should also be of value to those firms.
