Geothermal resources are commonly associated with the geologically, youthful Western United States, and accordingly there is much effort applied to the cataloguing, measurement, engineering and application of these resources as an alternate energy source. There is, however, also considerable geothermal effort in the East; and this brief report lists these efforts, reports the significant results to date and identifies a contact if further information is desired
