Two specialized geothermal training programs, sponsored by the United Nations Department of Technical Cooperation for Development, have been conducted at the Geo-Heat Center. The first was for three UN fellows from Tianjin, Peoples Republic of China, from November 1984 to May 1985, which involved the study of district heating systems, greenhouse heating systems and corrosion engineering. Recently, from March to June 1987, a program for three UN fellows from the Philippines involved a feasibility study on the establishment of geothermal food dehydration centers in the Philippines
