Over the years since 1978, the Geo-Heat Center had been asked for advice on new pump installations and replacement installations. For at least half of the time, the advice was based on experience with pumps on the Oregon Institute of Technology since it was the only modern large geothermal direct-use installation, and of course, the Center is located on the campus.
