California refineries received 164.8 million barrels (mmbbl) of crude oil during the fourth quarter of 1986, an average of 1,831.3 thousand barrels per day (rob/d) (see Table 1). This represents an increase of slightly over 3.0 percent (54.0. rob/d) compared to the fourth quarter 1985, but a decrease of 2.6 percent (49.0mb/d) from the third quarter of 1986. Foreign imports contributed 5.6 percent of the total crude oil receipts; Alaska crude oil supplies provided 34.5 percent, with the balance acquired from California and other states
