The rate at which geothermal installations become corroded and clogged depends largely on the physico-chemical composition of the geothermal water. A special research program has been developed, in connection with the specific nature of the problem and wide variation in the quality of geothermal waters (whose mineralization ranges from a few to more than 120 g/dm3). This program is intended to promote the comprehensive utilization of geothermal waters in order to improve the water balance, stimulate the balneological sector and improve the operating conditions of existing systems
