The Moana geothermal area, in southwest Reno, supports the largest low-to-moderate temperature, direct-use development in Nevada. More than 250 geothermal wells, ranging from 10 to 1,000 feet in depth and 100F to 215F in temperature, have been drilled in an area of approximately 3 square miles. Residential and commercial development is concentrated in Sections 23 through 27, Township 19 North, Range 19 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridan
