A preliminary test of a small-scale organic Rankine cycle system using a low-temperature geothermal resource in Lakeview, Oregon was conducted on November 18, 1982, and generated a little over 1/2 megawatt of power using an Israeli Ormat turbine. Plans for the facility call for installation of two additional Ormat machines and three SPS machines to produce an estimated total capacity of 2.1 megawatts. The two Ormat machines are scheduled for delivery at the site on December 8, 1982. No date has been planned for start-up of the SPS equipment, already at the site, as of this printing
