The purpose of the interview is to gain the perspective of Larry Espey, State Coordinator of the Oregon Parks Foundation, on his long career in parks and recreation planning and development in the state of Oregon. In particular, the interview will capture details of his work as a CCC camp superintendent during the Depression era and his later work relating to Oregon State Parks. 2. Where were the camps you supervised located? What age difference was there, if any, between you and the men you supervised? What role did you have in the daily routine of the camps? What was your relationship to leaders, foremen, technical personnel, Army personnel? In other words, how was the work organized and what was the nature of the work?
