Statistical analysis predicted a ventilator shortage
within 2020 if social distancing was insufficient to
slow to rate of Covid-19 infection. Hospitals were at threat of being overwhelmed with patients and, along with a
possibility of a shortage of ventilators, PPE (Personal
Protection Equipment). Our goal was to help make
up for the shortages by making PPE using 3D printers
and ventilators using open source coding and readily
available components.
