The retail business Feelings Unlimited has need of a computerized business solution to document financial transactions and manage inventory. Most transactions processed by Feelings Unlimited are generated from sales transactions through their internet sites or catalog sales that they receive via electronic purchase order. While they are able to continue processing orders manually it takes seveeral days to prepare financial reports at the end of the year and take an average count of the residual inventory. They also feel they are losing out on marketing opportunities without a customer list. This document defines the business problem definition in greater depth, identifies the major components necessary to create a solution, lists alternative solutions, project risks, required external inputs, user functionality requirements, and notes the development of the solution with project timeline. Ultimately this project entails creating a Microsoft Access 2007 database application that is easily integrated with the current busincess process flow and also offers security and backup functionality.
