This report describes a low cost microcontroller based control unit for motorcycle turn signals that implements advanced features. These features are primarily intended for rider safety and convenience. The unit senses the lean angle of the bike and will auto cancel the signals, and is also integrated with a timer function in the case the lean angle is not reached, such as a lane change. Additional light is added to the front, and more importantly the rear of the motorcycle. A brake flashing option is available by a user selectable switch. When on, the brakes will flash 3 times when the pedal is pressed. The unit is most effective when combined with LED turn signals. This reduces current dramatically, and increases light output.
