In this project, we designed, developed, and constructed a high performance remote control model car that is controlled using a smartphone. This car uses Bluetooth serial communication to wirelessly communicate with an Android control application. The car’s microcontroller interprets this incoming information and controls electronics, which drive lights, motors, servos, and other components in the car’s operation. A wireless distance sensor mounted on the front of the car allows the car to stop autonomously for obstacles in its path, helping it avoid collisions.
