This project explores designing and building a “do-it-yourself” variable frequency drive (VFD). More specifically, an LCD controlled, Arduino-based VFD. This includes building a rectifier/voltage-doubler, DC Bus, and inverter. The challenge of this project is to control the inverter to fit the needs of an AC motor.
