This quality control project was assigned by the Health Informatics Department at Kaiser Permanente to test and validate the processes of creating an Immune Deficiency Clinics Care Gaps decision support system. These tests and validations are aimed at assuring that the final Immune Deficiency Clinics Care Gaps in the Patient Support Tool web interface have minimal validation errors and that relevant patient information and alerts are provided to care providers. These are accomplished by running aggregate queries on the product tables to verify expected results. Validation tests are also done to verify information in the product tables against the Immune Deficiency Clinics Care Gaps in the Patient Support Tool web interface. The results of these tests show changes to the specification documents, the logic of the tests, and product tables. These are discussed with a mentor before final documentation. Failed test cases are investigated and addressed promptly and documented with the entire test results for future reference.
