This proposal is for a senior project to design and install an interactive monitoring system for a renewable energy installation at David Douglas
High School in Portland, Oregon. Three engineering problems need to be solved in order to complete the project. These problems are remounting the photovoltaic panels in the current installation, designing and installing the monitoring system, and designing and installing a Human-Machine Inter-face. The Human-Machine Interface will provide the interactive features of the system. This project is scheduled to be completed in June 2010, and has a budget of $9,000. This project is a partnership between Oregon Institute of Technology, Portland General lectric and David Douglas High School.
