A construction method for a linear induction generator that can be used for passive energy harvesting
applications is presented in this document. The peak voltage output was found to be 8.8 V AC (RMS), and
current output of 140 mA was obtained. By measuring acceleration of the coil during operation, an
experimental velocity coefficient in the applied induction equation V=NAB was derived. The
electromechanical conversion efficiency of the device was estimated, and possible design improvements to
increase power output are suggested, as well as possibilities for further data acquisition and processing
