Pets are a wonderful addition to our lives. But, like humans, they like to be entertained. A hand held laser pointer gives enjoyment for both the owner and the pet. While the pet doesn’t know (or care) where the “red dot” they love to chase comes from, owners can become bored with this activity. Enter the PALS.
A small, battery operated, wall mounted enclosure allows for pet entertainment with minimal intervention from the owner. A simple press of the wake button will run one of three switch selected routines for up to ten minutes – a simple back and forth sweep, a circular motion or a randomized pattern. The built in timer prevents pet exhaustion and prolongs battery life.
Utilizing a micro-controller, two small DC motors and a laser, the package resembles a small security camera – approximately five inches in diameter with a clear dome to protect the moving parts. Four standard AA sized batteries power the unit with an optional external AC power jack.
Providing exercise for the pet and entertainment for the owner in a convenient wall mounted package, the PALS unit provides a better alternative (at an attractive and affordable price) to more expensive and easily breakable non-mounted alternatives.
