The R.A.T. App (Rodent Analytics & Tracking) is a proof-of-concept project presenting a comprehensive breeding management system for hobbyist rodent breeders. This application aims to provide a streamlined solution for animal management, lineage tracking, genetic analysis, and breeding management, addressing a key gap in current software that tend to be cluttered, difficult to use, and focused on too many other species. The current iteration demonstrates core functionalities using a WinForms Desktop Application and a .NET Class Library connected to SQL Server. As an example of future development, a React.ts Web Application and a .NET Web API project, currently featuring a basic homepage and animal data endpoint, showcases the intended direction for future development.
