The Solar Panel Pinwheel Fixture project is the creation of an assembly that utilizes solar panels to collect solar energy from the sun. The project intends to maximize solar energy obtained from the sun by maximizing the amount of time the solar panel directly faces the sun. A light sensor and motors are utilized to guide and rotate the arms and base of the mechanism towards the direction of the sun at any time above the horizon. The provision of four solar panels contributed to a four solar panel design with a mechanism to compact and unfurl for ease of space, among other factors.
