My poster shows the research I did to further the understanding of chimpanzee behavior in zoos. I did observational research at the Oregon Zoo to determine if the chimps housed there behaved similar to other chimps throughout the world in different zoos. Using continuous observation every 30 minutes I would change what chimp I was observing. While this 30 minutes was going I would mark down any abnormal behavior which is anything the chimp does not usually do in the wild. In conclusion I found that there is no statistical difference in the chimps housed at the Oregon zoo and other Zoos throughout the world.
