The Animatronic Hand is a piece of hardware designed to record the movements of a user’s hand and mimic it on a remote model. A glove controller worn by the user sends flex sensor data to the robotic hand via ESP-NOW. The robotic hand then mimics the movement of the user through the use of servo motors. The purpose of this project is a proof of concept for low-cost prosthetics, as well as a remotely controlled animatronic hand that can be used in dangerous workplaces. Where a human may have been needed in close proximity to dangerous machinery, this project can be used to safely operate the machinery.
