Wanderlust Wishlist is a full-stack web application designed to simplify collaborative travel planning. Many travelers use multiple websites, documents, and messaging platforms to organize trips, making it difficult to keep ideas, destinations, and plans in one place. Wanderlust Wishlist addresses this problem by providing a centralized platform where users can create trips, discover destinations, save locations, and collaborate with others. The application was developed using React, TypeScript, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Docker, and the Google Maps Platform. Users can explore destinations through an interactive map, search for points of interest, filter results by category, and save locations directly to a trip. Trip owners can also invite collaborators and manage permissions, allowing multiple users to contribute to the planning process. This project provided hands-on experience with full-stack software development, including frontend design, backend API development, database management, third-party API integration, and user access control. The resulting application demonstrates how modern web technologies can be combined to create a scalable and user-friendly solution for collaborative travel planning while providing a foundation for future enhancements such as itinerary planning, budgeting tools, and personalized travel recommendations.
