This poster presents the restoration and modernization of an electric-powered pub bike designed to improve safety, reliability, and overall operational performance. The original 60V lead-acid electrical system was replaced with a modern 51.2V LiFePO4 battery energy storage system, providing improved efficiency, reduced weight, and enhanced charging capability. The project also integrated a rooftop photovoltaic solar array with MPPT regulation and J1772 EV charging compatibility to support sustainable operation. The drivetrain and generator systems were redesigned to reduce mechanical losses and improve energy conversion during pedal-assisted operation. Additional upgrades included new auxiliary electrical systems, organized wiring architecture, lighting integration, and a 12V regulated distribution system for accessories and controls. Before-and-after images highlight the significant improvements in wiring organization and system integration. The completed EV pub bike demonstrates a reliable, customer-ready platform capable of supporting approximately 10 miles or 2 hours of continuous excursion operation.
