The Disconnect Demonstration unit is a marketing tool to showcase the capability and performance for Warn Automotive's disconnect designs. It was design for travel and portability as the sales team will market to vehicle manufacturers who have an interest in fuel economy without sacrificing the benefits of four wheel drive traction and control. This was a collaboration project with the Research and Development team. I was the main developer for this project which means I worked on several aspects for this project. Some responsibilities were the development of the graphical user interface for the disconnect and motor controls, the added microcontroller data processing tools for real time data tracking and, the PCB revisions for the microcontroller board to handle new electrical and mechanical requirements. But most importantly, I was responsible to get the project fully functional and acceptable for the customer to see and interact with the demonstration unit.
