To address high electrical costs in the region through increasing local generating capacity, the project team designed a three-phase 15kW solar array located in San Jose de Bocay, Nicaragua to accompany existing hydroelectric generation. It was designed, under the direction of two NGOs, APRODELBO and Green Empowerment, to serve as a pilot project with hope for future expansion.
